Market Research and Analysis
After identifying the end user communities, HMS provides development of market survey tools tailored to meet specific objectives. A needs assessment is conducted utilizing a variety of methods, such as telephone or face-to-face interviews and electronic questionnaires, as appropriate. Data analysis is then performed followed by recommendations to address functionality, content, and delivery of services.
Past Performance:
HMS has utilized this process in support of a variety of health care-related projects. We worked for the Department of Defense (DOD), as a subcontractor to the West Virginia High Technology Consortium (WVHTC) Foundation. The scope of this project culminated in the development of an internet-based tool to deliver a coordinated alert and broadcast network in an automated and rapid manner, which will be enhanced with educational modules to targeted members of the health care community, in both the public and private sectors.
The purpose was to ensure appropriate response by the health care community to bioterrorism events. To accomplish this project we developed a questionnaire based survey tool, and conducted interviews of targeted potential end users across the nation. Following data collection, we compiled the data and made recommendations on design and development of the system proto-type for WVHTC. HMS assisted in presentation of the study findings to the client.
